Newest Oil Plant Attack Shows 'Absolutely No Secure Areas in the Russian Deep Rear'

Ukrainian UAVs have targeted the Russian oil facility in Ufa, located around 1,400 kilometres from Ukraine, triggering explosions and a blaze, per a source in the Ukrainian intelligence agency.

This marks the 3rd SBU deep strike in the region in the last month. These attacks show that there are no protected areas in the deep rear of the Russian state.

Ukrainian President Calls On Trump to Broker Ceasefire in Ukraine

President Zelenskyy urged Donald Trump to mediate a ceasefire in Ukraine during a telephone conversation on Saturday.

"Provided that a hostilities can be stopped in a single area, then certainly additional conflicts can be ended as well, including the Russian war," Zelenskyy remarked, commending the US President's "remarkable" Gaza ceasefire plan and requesting the American leader to pressure the Moscow into discussions.

Russian Assaults Take Casualties in Ukraine

Strikes by Russia on Ukrainian territory resulted in the deaths of five people on Saturday and cut power to areas of the south Odesa region, per Ukrainian officials.

Two people died inside a church in the town when it was targeted, as reported by local authorities.

In the Russian frontier area of Belgorod, a vehicle operator was killed by a drone assault, per local officials.

Electricity Repair Work in the Capital

Operations proceeded on Saturday to restore power in the Ukrainian capital, after assaults.

Electricity had been restored to more than 800,000 citizens by Saturday and the largest utility provider stated the primary operations to recover electricity was complete though certain disruptions remained.

Anti-Aircraft Actions and Drone Interceptions

Ukraine's anti-aircraft systems downed or disrupted fifty-four of 78 enemy drones deployed against Ukraine overnight, the military reported on the weekend.

The Russian defence ministry claimed it intercepted forty-two Ukrainian drones over its own soil.

Cuban Government Refutes Allegations of Deploying Forces to the War

The Cuban government on Saturday rejected American allegations it has sent soldiers to participate in the Ukraine war, while affirming officials in Havana "do not have precise data about Cuban nationals" involved "on their own" or "within the troops of the conflicting parties".

The ministry in Havana announced 26 Cubans had been sentenced to incarceration varying between 5 to 14 years for mercenary activity since last September when news emerged of Cubans being dispatched to the frontlines in Ukraine.

I Want to Live Program Reports Details on Cuban National Enlistment

I Want to Live, a state program that encourages adversaries to give up, stated in spring: "We reliably know the personal data of over a thousand individuals who enlisted with the Russian military in recently."

The Cuban authorities said of Cubans who might be participating: "Undeniably that no individual has the encouragement, dedication, or consent of the government in Havana for their actions."

Kin of Cubans who traveled to the Russian Federation in 2023 told news outlets at the time that their loved ones had been deceptively recruited through advertisements on social media.
