The tenth week again delivered, with a huge upset for the Buffalo Bills demonstrating the 'any given Sunday' saying that draws so many people into the National Football League

That result may have opened opportunities for the Patriots to move back into a top spot they formerly held, with a remaining games that gives them an edge over their eight and two rivals

Meanwhile in the NFC the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams had perfect results to set up a monster clash in week 11, while our player of the week is chasing records as well as the MVP award

Analysis - Simply an Off Day for Buffalo?

Josh Allen in action
Did Josh Allen attempt too much or was it just a poor performance for the Bills?

Could it simply have been an emotional comedown from beating the Chiefs last week or a deeper issue? This remains the question for the Buffalo team to address

The Bills had won seven in a consecutive games against Miami but were second best from the start as the Miami team ran out 30-13 winners in an surprising result - and display

MVP quarterback Josh Allen only got the squad's initial first down in the third period and initial scoring in the fourth - admittedly the Dolphins had ten days to prepare but it was nonetheless a massive egg laid by one of the league's top offences

Dolphins quarterback Tua threw two scores but rusher Achane was the devastating difference, with 225 total yards and two touchdowns

Containing the NFL's top rushing attack was crucial too, with James Cook and company recording just eighty-six yards, their fewest of the year and just over fifty percent their 161.5-yard season average

Additionally there were the three critical turnovers, and the pair from Allen in particular. An pass caught by defense in the end zone meaning a nine-minute drive yielded no points, and his fourth-quarter fumble that Miami turned into a touchdown just two plays

It was classic 'old Buffalo' as they hurt themselves in the foot, falling into a deficit on defense and Allen trying to overcompensate to dig his team out of it - not the composed, controlled, well-balanced Buffalo team we've witnessed this year

The Dolphins have served up a bit of everything this season so the jury's out on whether this is the start of a trend, but for Buffalo they'll require an immediate bounce-back in a tough game against the Buccaneers next week as the Patriots are quietly moving into a nice lead at the summit of the American Football Conference East

Spotlight - New England Identify Route to Unexpected First Place

Regarding the Patriots, they're one of three different 8-2 teams in the league, all American Football Conference sides, but are they the best?

One could find flaws in New England, Denver and Indianapolis actually for dominating the lesser sides, with just five of their total 24 victories achieved against teams with a positive record - and one of those was the Indianapolis beating the Denver

Denver defeated the reigning champion Eagles in Philly and are masters of the fourth-quarter while Indianapolis can rely on Taylor, but the Patriots adding Sunday's win in Tampa Bay to their primtime success in Orchard Park appears to be a declaration

Their two defeats occurred in new head coach Vrabel's first three games, with seven consecutive wins, just like the Broncos, since then - but taking down Mayfield after the Bucs had a week off to prepare was significant

Maye's Most Valuable Player credentials won't go away, and he certainly deserves point for courage after absorbing some savage hits in Tampa Bay but hanging in there to guide his side to victory

The defense is solid and rookie rusher Henderson burst onto the scene on Sunday with 147 rushing yards and two exhilerating touchdowns of 55 and 69 yards - becoming just the fifth different ball carrier to exceed 22 miles per hour this season on his first score

Although you can debate who 'the top team' is technically, the Pats should be favourites to end with the best record thanks to their schedule - which features just one game against a successful opponent, albeit a significant contest against the Bills

Traveling to Baltimore is challenging too, but Denver have it even tougher in the AFC West division with the Kansas City to play twice, the Los Angeles Chargers (who might also compete for top seed but face the same problem) and also the Packers on the schedule

The Colts also face the Kansas City, and have the Seahawks, 49ers and two games with the five and four Jacksonville to contend with. There's a long way to go but the opportunity is available for a surprise number one position in the AFC

Next Week - Rams & Seahawks Prepare for Week 11 Clash

Two teams with strong arguments to be superior to all of the three different eight and two teams are National Football Conference West rivals the Seahawks and Rams, who each put up forty points to reach seven and two ahead of the upcoming Hollywood blockbuster meeting between the pair in Los Angeles

They've both secured four victories in a row, have signal callers in Matthew Stafford and Darnold playing at an elite level (although Sam Darnold had turnover issues on game day) with top receivers, and defenses giving up fewer than twenty points a contest

Both could easily be without a loss as well - especially the Rams as their pair of losses came in extra time against the 49ers and then that agonising loss in Philly when they had a game-winning kick with the last kick blocked and run back by the Eagles for a touchdown

Seattle also lost to San Francisco, with a late touchdown in week one, before falling to the final play of the contest against the Buccaneers - so they are genuinely two of the best sides in the league

The upcoming game on Sunday could be the most exciting of the season so far

Top Performer - Jonathan Taylor

Taylor could be on for a historic year after his remarkable performance in Berlin - running for 244 rushing yards, registering three scores and contributing an additional forty-two {receiving yards
